June 20, 2025: Given all of the Yugo kits that have been imported, I decided to place an order for more bolts. I should have them by approximately mid-August 2025. When dates firm up, I will update this listing and turn on ordering but for now, I can tell you they are solid stainless and are natural colored — to keep costs down, I did not have them finished black. The last time I had any made was in April 2023 and since then, costs have gone up for everything. Other than the color change, they will be the same high quality bolt we have sold in the past.
I had a custom screw shop make the bolts needed to secure the wood fixed butt stocks on Yugoslav / Zastava military M70, M72 and M76 rifles. It is an 8mm diameter bolt with a 1.0mm pitch and is 260mm (10.24″) long just like the original.
These are for the military rifles and not for the commercial PAP buttstocks. I will not refund your money if you tell me it doesn’t fit your PAP commercial buttstock so please bear this in mind. If you don’t know what I am talking about, Zastava makes civilian market rifles with a shorter buttstock with a far shorter stock bolt. These bolts are expressly for the military patterned stocks.
The current bolts are virtually identical to the originals in terms of size and shape but have their natural stainless color (not black as in the current photos). I need to update the photos but haven’t had time yet.
In the photos, the light grey bolt is the original and the darker bolt with the longer thread is the new one that we are having made. The new bolts will be the same but a silver/stainless color.
What you are purchasing is a bolt and matching washer. No other parts such as the stock or rear trunnion, are included.
