These oil bottles were made for the cleaning/maintenace of AK-47s but could be used for just about anything. I suspect they are Romanian but am not sure.
The bottles appear to be some form of steel and a magnet does stick to them.
The “B” side of the bottle contains Basa meaning base. It’s used to neutralize the corrosive ammo salts that form. Think of it as the solvent.
The “U” side of the bottle contains Ulei, which is Oil.
The bottles arrived in a ton of cosmoline, were opened up and the run through an ultrasonic cleaner. So they are ready for use.
To be clear – these are surplus and have contained oil. Do not use them to hold any form of food. (The lawyer made me say it).
