HK MP5K SEF Grips Made From New HK 91/G3 Navy-Style SEF Grips, Like New

Lead time for this  product is 2-3 weeks after ordering.  On hand reflects the number of base grips I have that can be converted and not actual ready-to-ship units.

These are MP5K grips that we have created by modifying German HK 91/G3 Navy-Style SEF grips that were in like new condition.  Vendors call them “new” but I notice some light scuffing in some cases most likely from bouncing around in a box.  After cleaning them up, they look like new.  The grip in the photos has been through the whole process on our end.

To be clear, this is just the grip and does not include the internals.

They look great.  If you ever want to restore a rich black color, I recommend using Car Guys Plastic Restorer (This stuff is amazing – click here to read more on Amazon and buy it if you are interested.)

These grips will work on the following MP5Ks:

• Zenith Z5P
• MKE AP5-P
• Other two pin MP5K clones ought to work
• SP5Ks will require some adjustments on the front locking plate to fit that weapon’s shelf – the bottom of the plate needs to be filed off about 0.005-0.010 to fit the weapon’s semi shelf.

Again, expect some fitting.  I did a post about fitting the Magpul SL grips to MP5Ks and it will be very similar [Click here if you want to read it]. 

The rear grip holes will be within 0.2-0.7mm of each other and you will need to file them to fit your particular MP5K. 

Because this grip is converted from an HK G3/91 grip, the rear hole will have the small partial hole at the top right postion (there is a photo in the product images).  I wrote a blog post showing how this is due to the molded insert used on the 91/G3 vs. a true MP5K grip.  All converted grips will have this – not just our’s.  You simply work around it by installing the takedown pin with the retaining wire sitting elsewhere in the hole.
