For a smooth functioning and reliable pistol, it is critical to clear out the Barrel Block in the middle channel of the frame and not leave any ridges that the recoil spring may hang up on.  To help with this, we've assembled a specialty tool for you that mounts in your hand drill and is operated at low speed - technically it can run in a die grinder but you risk taking off way too much material.

The kit includes a 1/4" x 4" mandrel that allows you to easily reach in from the front of the frame and sand the bottom and sides of the channel.  It includes 8 sanding drums - 2 @ 80 grit, 2 @ 120 grit, 2 @ 180 grit and 2 @ 240 grit.  The idea is that you start with a coarse grit and slowly work your way up.  I can't stress it enough - go slow and take your time.  If you rush then you risk taking off too much material.

If you have a lot of material to take off, start with 80 grit.  You will risk plugging the 180 or 240 grit drums with lots of sanding.  Note, you can use compressed air to blow the plastic out of the grit if need be.

Move the sanding drum up and down on a low speed to keep things level.  Sitting in one spot risks making low spots.  Do a little and check over and over.
