US Naval Base Portsmouth NH, Armed Forces Day, May 19, 1962Bureau of Navy Personnel "Lookout Manual", 1943

I found this in some stuff of my dad's.  It is a little booklet issued to visitors that went to the US Naval Base at Portsmouth, NH, on Armed Forces Day on May 19, 1962.  Pretty cool little piece of history.

This small booklet was produced by the US Navy to train men on how to be a Lookout and was published in 1943.

This original has a very worn cover with the text in very good shape and some yellowing due to age.

FM 21-100 Soldier's Handbook, July 23, 1941FM 21-150 Unarmed Defense for the American Soldier, June 1942
An original edition of FM 21-100 Soldier;s Handbook, July 23, 1941. You can tell this was issued to "Gambini" as he wrote his name and number on the cover. There's also a pamphlet tucked in "Sex Hygiene and Venereal Disease" issued by the War...

This book is on hand-to-hand comment and is showing its age.  The cover is very worn and has separated from the spine but the pages are still being held.  It's quite worn but an interesting piece of history.
